    2. Yes.My father's military records were also lost in a fire in a Federal Record's building.. He was killed by a "friendly Fire" a Bomb dropped on him after the war was over in Germany, 1945.He was an American soldier.The pilot wrote in his book, " I knew the war was over, but I had my orders". We also never got his G I Insurance. I would rather have had a father alive. His father, my grandfather, ROBERT LEE GORDON, was born at Gordonsville Virginia.
