I would love to have any information you might have. Also, do you have birth dates for John S and Sally Grubbs Farrar? The notes I found say John S was born in 1740 and died 1833, which would make him 93 -- a very old age! I have no birth or death dates for Sally. I think you mentioned also that Mathew Grubbs Farrar had a brother named John S. The notes I found indicated siblings Richard L, Elizabeth F., Martha G, Marcellus, Sarah, Sophia G, Susan R, and Lavinia or Louvinia, but no John. Are my notes incorrect? Adding to the confusion, I had notes that Col. John S. Farrar, Mathew Grubb Farrar's father, was born to Richard Farrar and Susan Shelton in 1740, but that Richard Farrar was born in Aug 1748 (not likely!) and Susan was born in 1720 (28 years older than her husband, Richard?). You see how confused I am! Finally, most of the records I have for my great- grandfather have his name spelled with only one T in Mathew...should it be Mathew or Matthew? Oh, and! do you see any reference to family surnames McCauley and Jennings? I find that Mathew's two oldest daughters had these unusual middle names (Mathew's wife's surname was Whitten, so that's not the source). Thanks.
