The Moore-Bridgewater connection has been a problem for me for sometime. My Betsy Bridgewater m William Moore in Amherst Co. 2 Feb. 1789, their dau. Polly m 26 June 1808, Samuel Hill (in AC). Samuel Hill died and Polly m 2nd George W. Tribble. Polly and Samuel Hills dau. Sallie Moore Hill m John Massie, Jr 30 Oct. 1833. Marriage bond in AC as follows: Parent, Samuel Hill dec'd consent of George W. Tribble & Polley Tribble. Surety: Thomas Massie, Thomas G. Hill, Lucinda M. Tribble. John and Sallie Massie were my great grandparents. My problems with researching the Moore's are there are two families in Amherst Co. and both carry the same given names.
