A few miles north of Lowesville on what appears to be the county line between Nelson and Amherst counties is CRAWLEY CREEK. One source says it is also known as CAULEY CREEK. Thomas CRAWLEY was born in Amherst Co. April 25, 1755. I would like to know if the creek is named for this family and if they lived in the area. Any information about the CRAWLEY family in Amherst county would be greatly appreciated. Jerry
