To the Wright, Nelson, and Amherst Mailing Lists: My records list John Wright as a son of 1816 (year of death) Robert Wright of Nelson County, Virginia, (place of death) and Margaret (_____) Wright and grandson of William Wright (Amherst County) and Esther (_____) Wright. He married first Nancy Melton on May 22, 1798, at Amherst County, Virginia, and married second Frances Hamblet or Hamlet on February 9, 1817, at Nelson County, Virginia. He sold his land and left Nelson County in 1820. If anyone has information on the descendants of John Wright and Frances (Hamblet) Wright, I would be most interested in hearing from you. Robert N.
