Andrew BROWN, John BROWN, Sr., John BROWN, Jr., Morris BROWN, and William BROWN. I have an Andrew BROWN b. c. 1760, VA, d. 1803, North Garden, Albemarle Co., VA, m. c. 1780, Albemarle Co., VA, Mary FORTUNE b. 1762 Albemarle Co., VA, d. Aft. 1850 in North Garden, VA or Nelson Co., VA. She was the daughter of John and Lucy FORTUNE of Albemarle Co., VA. My Andrew BROWN of North Garden served as a private in the Virginia Continential Line during the Rev. War. I do not know which county he came from or his father's name. However, since he named his oldest son John, and Morris and William are names found for his grandsons, I am wondering if his father was John BROWN, Sr. of Amherst.
