After that we'll move on to another county. Debbie Harvey had sent a message that involved several of these marriages and some additional information has been found. The following information was extracted from a typed sheet (origin unknown). \ Richard Harvie married Mary Wood, daughter of Josiah Wood of England. (heir to an estate worth 7 million dollars in 1845.) Richard Harvey was the father of ten children and it names their children 1st James Harvie who married Rachel Thompson (***James Harvey & Rachel Thompson m 21 Nov 1803, Amherst Co) (*** James pos. dec by 1850, Rachel either 60 or 70, found in Nelson Co census - b 1780 or 1790 - there are 2 Rachel Harveys near the same age in the 1850 census.) John who married Isabella Hawkins etc. (*** John R. Harvie m Isabella S. Hawkins 25 Dec 1837, Nelson Co) 2nd Thomas Harvie who marrie Betsy Seay and had ll children and names children. (***Thomas Harvie and Betsey Seay m 19 Oct 1795, Amherst Co) 3rd Betsey married John Newman (***Betsey Harvey m. John Neuman May 26 1794, Amherst Co) 4th Dollie married Peter Saunders (***-Dollie - Dorothy b 1775, she & Peter found in 1850 Nelson Co; Dolly Harvey & Peter Saunders m Dec 11 1802, Amherst Co) 5th John married Sallie Saunders (***John b 1785, he & Sally found in 1850 Nelson Co cen - John Harvey & S. Saunders m 6 June 1816, Nelson Co) 6th Annie married Joseph Seay (Joseph Seay m Nancy Harvie 27 Dec 1796, Amherst Co) 7th Josiah married Mary Going (*** Joseph b 1775, he & Mary found in Nelson Co, 1850 cen, Joseph Harvey & Polly Going m Dec 18, 1802 Amherst Co) 8th Richard (*** There are two marriages for (A) Richard Harvey listed in Nelson Co. - HARVEY, Richard & DAVIS, Ann 31 Mar1818, and HARVEY, Richard & POWERS, Catherine 08 Apr1828) 9th Sallie died single and 10th William married Paulina Bryant. (*** Wm b 1790 - He and Paulina found in 1850 Nelson Co census; William Harvey & P Bryant m 23 Apr1819, Nelson Co) Across the top of the sheet it mentions a Nicholas Harvie location no known. His sisters married men by name of Kidd and Elisha Peters. James Harvie was married to a Miss Steptoe and lived in Botetourt Co. VA. I'm not sure who these two are in relationship to others.
