My records list Susannah (Wright) Bateman as Susannah (Wright) (Bateman) Mayse, born between 1765 & 1784, married first Benjamin Bateman on June 12, 1804, at Bedford County, Virginia, married second Isaac Mayse before January 21, 1843, resided in 1843 at Mason County, Virginia, and died after April 16, 1847. She was a daughter of 1810 (year of death) John Wright of Bedford County, Virginia (place of death) and his first wife Susannah (_____) Wright and granddaughter of 1767 Francis Wright of Amherst County, Virginia, and Mary (Hawkins) Wright.
