The only two candidates in Amherst county for your next generation back appear to be Tempey Thacker, born 1781 (I have no data on him, if indeed Tempey is "a him") and Joel Thacker, born 1783 and married to a Sarah Burford. I am expecting soon to receive additional information on the progeny of Pettis Thacker from a correspondent who connects through the Burford line. Possibly your Polly might appear there. Otherwise, since you allude to a possible Albemarle county connection, your descendancy might come from Benjamin Thacker Sr. who had some 14 children by three wives of which I am aware. I plan to expand these generations on my chart, but unfortunately do not at present have this data at hand. Hope this might prove helpful, and will pass on any further leads I run across.
