In the Amherst museum, I found a little booklet with some short biographical sketches of Amherst men, who apparently served in the Civil War. Most of the men were still living and the latest dates mentioned are 1880's/90's. The men's birthdates, parents, information on wives and children are included. I copied the following ones; if anyone is interested in any name I can type out the information and send it to the list. There were more- I can look for a surname next time I go if someone wishes.
