In 1821 CABELL WOOD married ELIZABETH PHILLIPS, the daughter of JOHN & PENELOPE PHILIPS. Cabell and Elizabeth had: MARY WOOD in about 1823 OLIVER C. WOOD about 1825 (who married MARGARET CASKEY) ELIZABETH WOOD about 1828 (who married JAMES MITCHELL) and JAMES A. WOOD about 1835 (who married EMILY TYGRET). I am seeking information regarding their first child - daughter, MARY WOOD. CABELL WOOD died in 1862. His daughter, MARY WOOD's name does not appear on his will. According to an 1868 legal suite filed by CABELL's widow, "Betsy", and his two youngest children, MARY WOOD is identified as "the deceased daughter of Cabell Wood deceased". Other researchers report that a marriage license can be found for MARY WOOD to marry a JAMES WEAKLY/WEEKLY before she died - in about 1854. I am interested because, Mary Wood had one child before she died: AURORA ANN WOOD. AURORA'S name DOES appear on CABELL'S 1862 will. She is also identified in the 1868 suite as "the only child of Mary Wood deceased daughter of Cabell Wood deceased". MARY WOOD'S daughter AURORA ANN WOOD is my Great Grandfather's mother.
