    3. This is my brick wall. Would love to have more info on any family connections. Thanks to all of you for your assistance. Ruth Canterberry's maiden name was Simms. Source: Amherst County Virginia in the Revolution In the October court, 1778, the following account is recorded: "William Harris Jun. presented his Account in Court amounting to Fifteen Pounds Sixteen Shillings and Four Pence Half Penny for Provisions furnished Ruth CANTERBERRY the Wife of Joseph CANTERBERRY, Susannah Conner the Wife of Daniel Conner and ___________ Jones the Wife of Thomas Jones, Poor Soldiers in the Continental Army, which being Examined and approved by the Court It's ordered ....... etc."
