Hi Listers, My most wanted ancestors are William WHITE (1788-1843) and his wife Mary PARKS (1800-1840). I do not know where they were born or where they died...nor do I have any info on their parents/siblings. William doesn't show up on the Amherst Co. census until 1830. Their son Henry Arthur WHITE (1822-1891) shows up in the 1850 census. According to Henry's daughter's marriage cert., he was born in Bedford Co. My second most wanted ancestor is Elisha SHEPHERD/SHEPPARD (1834-unk). His wife was Judith BURKS/BURKE. Elisha was a member of the 58th VA Inf. during the Civil War. Their daughter Jennie Lester SHEPHERD was born in Amherst Co. 9 June 1871. I have not info on where he was born/died, nor do I have any info on his parents/siblings.
