    1. [VAAMHERS-L] William Peters
    2. Am seeking information on a William PETERS. According to information I have been given, William PETERS was a minister of the Anglican faith & the first of his line to come to the Colonies. I have found a William PETERS listed in the 1785 Heads of Families for Amherst County, VA. He is listed as one of 10 whites occupying the household. Undocumented information has William PETERS of Amherst County, VA. as father of the following children: *Jacob Zachariah Peters, born circa 1770, married Kesiah Lively 18 November 1794 in Amherst County, VA. (Most records list him as Zachariah) *Elisha Peters, married Jane Tiller 1 June 1792 in Amherst County, VA. *James Peters, married Elizabeth Stevens *Nancy Peters, married ??? in 1797 in Amherst County, VA. *John Peters, married Catherine Lane 4 January 1800 in Amherst County, VA. If this William PETERS is the same one listed in the 1785 Heads of Families in Amherst County, VA, then he may have been the father of at least 3 more children. Can anyone shed some light on the William PETERS family? Thank you in advance for any information you may have & for any guidance you may render. I look forward to reading your E-mails. Sincerely, Mike Peters npeters102@aol.com
