Greetings and Happy Easter! I have only been working on these lines for a short while. I'm doing the searching/hunting for myself and my new found cousin, Marcy. Marcy and I have twin grandfather's in common. It's kind-of cool! The Slater line is from England and Connecticut....the other lines originated in Amherst County, Virginia and later settled in Jonesboro and Washington County, Tennessee. Briefly,... Samuel and Rhoda Beverly's daughter Sevanny (Luranny) Beverly married Reuben Tyree Luranny and Reuben Tyree had two daughters Lurany Dillard Tyree and Lucy Elizabeth Tyree who both married the same man, John William Slater. Their first born George William Slater married Ida M. Ullmann Their fifth child Mary Luranny Slater married Charles Ernest Ullmann (Marcy's grandparents) I'm the Ullmann connection too. Her grandfather Charles and mine,John were twin brothers! I would love to know more about the Samuel Beverly line (ancestors and descendants alike) and of course anything that someone might know about Sevanny(Luranny) Beverly Tyree. I'd also like to know more about Rhoda Terry and her line. I have her parents as William Terry and Dicey (Dicer) Curry. I've got William's parents as William Terry and Susan Turner...
