Hi List, Perhaps someone can help me out. I have a will information from Amherst CO. VA concerning a JOHN DAVIS. JOHN DAVIS will, of Amherst CO. VA, dated March 6, 1780. Wife ELIZABETH; Sons PHILIP, WILLIAM, BENJAMIN, JESSE; brother DAVID; daughter HANNAH. I also have some information concerning a PHILIP DAVIS of Amherst Co. VA. PHILIP DAVIS b. abt. 1740 in Amherst CO. m. abt. 1765 to HANNAH ???? Hannah b. abt. 1745 in Amherst CO. Their son was PHILIP DAVIS b. abt. 1770 in Botetourt Co. VA and died before May 14, 1816 in Botetourt Co. VA. I believe that this PHILIP had a daughter named SARAH ?? who was born abt. 1800. There is also another PHILIP DAVIS who appears in the tax precinct of Arthur CAMPBELL in 1782 in Washington CO. VA. The following concerns this Philip.
