Hi! I am new to this list and thought I'd post my area of interest. I should say my very solid brick wall! I am searching for info on John Henry Ricketts. He was born in Amherst County, VA in 1839 and disappears from the face of the earth until 1860 when I find him in Smyth Co. Va. He lists Washington County, East TN as his home at that time (marriage application). He was the son of John W. Ricketts and Sarah Steward. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
