Hi List, New to this list and I am looking for anyone researching the above family. I believe my 2nd great Grandfather James BOWMAN b.Aug 1825 in TN to be a nephew or grandson of John BOWMAN formerly of Amherst Co.,VA. John and Barsheba migrated to Roane County TN sometime around 1790. John died according to his will in 1841 and is buried in Roane Co.,TN. Barsheba passed away intestate Oct. 6, 1860.
