Regarding the following Hartless marriages, this is additional information for the 2 Rowsey women they married (482) 17 Jan 1842, B. Hartless and S. Rowsey. See Benj. Hartly for more data. ( I could not find a Benj. Hartly listed under the H's. I didn't check to see if there was a listing under S. Rowsey. Could this be an earlier marriage for Benjamin Hartless? According to another posting these would be Benjamin Hartless (Hartty) and Sofrona Rowsey) This is in fact the marriage of Sephony/Sofrona Rowsey to Benjamin Hartless. Sofrona/Sephony Rowsey was the daughter of Archelaus Rowsey and Elizabeth Noell/Newell ( I believe the name is Noell & her father's given name was John from her marriage records) Sofrona was born abt 1816 in Amherst Co. (369) 16 Aug 1841, Jas. Hartless and Martha Rowsey. W: Archie Rowsey. SW: Jas. F. Taliaferro. (481) MR same. Page 9 H This is another daughter of Archelaus & Elizabeth Rowsey (see above parents of Sofrona) I do not have an approximant birth year for her. Neither of these sisters are in my direct lineage.
