Kristy, My records list the following two marriages: 1. William Wright and Anne Tomlinson on Feb 17, 1834, at Amherst County, Virginia, with Ambrose Tomlinson as surety. 2. William Wright and Elizabeth Ann Mitchell on Dec 6, 1837, at Amherst County, Virginia, with Little Berry Tucker as surety. With children Ambrose Wright and Mickleberry "Berry" Wright, either or both of these marriages could be for your William S. Wright. I do not find William S. Wright listed in the 1850 or 1860 Census for Amherst County and he may have moved to that part of Virginia that became West Virginia before that time. If you could identify when this family moved to West Virginia, I might be able to help further.
