He was born in Amherst Co. probably in the mid 1860's. He is also probably related to a Mays family in Amherst Co. I have found a wedding anouncement from an Aubrey Montrose Mays (son of George Winfrey Mays of Amherst Co.) announcing the wedding of his daughter Annie Lee. Fletcher was married in Port Jervis NY in 1887 to Jennie Kirkman.
