Tyree-Duncan Cemetery Location: From Hwy 29 north to Nelson County, right turn (east) onRt. 657 for 3 miles on left 100 off road in field. Duncan, James A., A Son in law, 1887-1918 Parks, Elizabeth M., 1847-1923, Wife of Robert Tyree Tyree, Robert L., 1846-1910; Bessie M. Dau, 1880-1904; Sammie P, Dau, 1881- 1914; John W, Brother, 1842-1905 In the book, More Passages: A New History of Amherst County, Virginia, I found two historic Baptist churches. 1. Ebenezer Baptist Church organized 1771-1777. 2. Mount Moriah Baptist Church date to 1785 but now houses a Masonic Temple. Rita
