FOWLER b. 13 Dec 1832 Unadilla, Otsego County, NY, d. 7 Apr 1895 Basic City (now part of Waynesboro City) located in Augusta County, VA. His parents were Dr. Hiram FOWLER and Sarah AUSTIN. He was a judge in New York for 8 years before settling in Virginia, where he was justice of the peace in Basic City, and a "dealer in stock". He m. 2nd Marietta Elizabeth (Mary) MOORE of Rose Mills, Nelson County, VA. Their son Frederick J. FOWLER was b. 1888 in Amherst Court House, Amherst County, VA.
