He was the brother of William Lackey (d 1756 Lancaster PA who married Rebeckah). Children of John SR and Hannah were Adam (wife unknown, died 1789 Henry VA), John JR (d 1793 Patrick VA, wife unknown), James (m. Mary Woods and died Blount TN 1800), Samuel (m Dorcas Alexander, d Madison KY 1830), Andrew (wife unknown, d KY), Jean (m Michael Woods d ca 1765 VA), Hannah (d bef 1790 VA, m Gabriel Alexander), and William (m Eve Morrison, d 1772 Amherst VA).
