Dillard as born in Amherst Co., VA (1820) and came to Union Parish, Louisiana about 1840 or so. He traveled via Alabama. He and his son, March Dillard, are buried at Sardis Cemetery near Farmerville, LA. I would appreciate any information in exploring the Virginia and Alabama connections of the Dillard family.
