    1. [VAAMHERS] COME ON AMHERST COUNTY CAMPBELL'S THERE MUST BE A CONNECTION HERE CUZ A T
    2. We have yet to find a Campbell male from Lawrence and Henry Campbell's line. I doubt that there is a connect to these Campbell's but John "Hatt Creek" Wagoneer Campbell may be another close connect to George and Frances. It is a possibility that we can get a DNA test from this Johns' family as he did have 3 sons that stayed in Virginia . BH

    3. Hi, Cuz A T, I have some really outstanding shots of the sunrise on the Friday morning September 5, 2008, when hurricane Hanna was just stretching her long fingers out over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. The photos would take your breath away. Of course, we were only heading up to Green Lane Park, PA, and the storm caught up to us the next midday with heavy rains and gusty winds, washing out the whole rest of the day but giving us no other damage. We had gone to sell our books at the Scottish Games and Saturday was a big loss. But still, I have the photos. 8~) I descend from other Amherst CoVA folks... Bell, one of Annie Bell's sons. The daughter Delilah (known as Aunt Lila) whom you requested information on was one of two deaf-mute daughters of Annie's (the other was Mary Virginia, known as Aunt Ginny). They taught my mother (John P.'s daughter) sign language, which was the way they communicated. Neither woman married. Anne was daughter of Robert B. Evans and I notice that there is an Evans family next door to Anne Bell also in the 1880 census. America Evans, widow of Morris Evans, Anne's brother, lived in the household of Walter Evans, also Anne's brother. I don't know how William Mays is connected to the Bell family, but it looks as if the families all lived close to each other. Why, by the way is your interest in Delilah, and do you know the connection between the two families? If you want to go into more detail about this you can contact me directly; my e-mail is sharnal@msn.com. Al Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I have researched this family for over one and half years and have compiled all of my research into an eBook called "Whitehead Family Tree, Virginia Roots: 1600-1900" at www.virginiawhiteheads.com . It is 120 pages of research on virtually every Whitehead who lived in Virginia from 1600-1900, including an early history of Whiteheads in Europe. Concerning John Whitehead, I have found info about his birth, his relationship to a Richard Whitehead of Surrey, England, and DNA evidence. Let's talk so we can share info!
