My great uncle Jesse Treadway died in Lynchburg in 1973 and according to his obit is buried in the Ridgecrest Baptist Chuch Cemetery there. I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to photograph his headstone and email the picture to me? His wife, Mary should be beside him. If they do not share a stone, I would like a picture of her stone as well. We are having a reunion in a month or so and I am trying to put together a book which will include photos of the headstones. I have seen it listed as being in Albemarle AND Amherst Counties, so not absolutely certain anything will turn up in Amherst. I am trying to figure out Elizabeth's parents names, to settle a discrepancy I've been finding while researching her, and I thought the marriage record might state who they are. If no one can help specifically, I'd be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction. I have been having little luck so far in finding marriage records from Amherst, Albemarle, or Orange counties (where her possible family hailed from). Mrs. Johnson was a member of Macedonian Baptist Church and worked at RCA and retired from March Electric. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Johnson Sr., in June of 1968; three brothers, Robert, Bernard and Moses Winston; three sisters, Maggie Rucker, Francis Dawson and Idella Charity. She is survived by her daughter, Odessa (Rodney) Peterson of Cambridge; son, Woodrow W. (Joyce) Johnson Jr. of Coshocton, Ohio; three grandchildren, Latisha Johnson of Cambridge, Woodrow W. (Tina) Johnson III of Conesville, Ohio and Eric C. Johnson of Adams Mills, Ohio; three great-grandchildren, Lauren E. Johnson, Jessica Brelle Johnson and Cassandra Joy Johnson; a sister, Blanche Stewart of Cambridge; and several nieces and nephews and friends.
