I am sorry to hear that Scott Vail passed away. I remember him as a boy when his father ran the flour mill at Sandidges Post Office. He became an architect and he designed the Amherst County Coat of Arms. Joe Ware, A Virginian in Texas
Thanks Holly Very sorry to hear about Scott. I do appreciate any assistance you can provide verifying the locating of this gravesite. Doug

Of the other 3 girls, I have Jane who married Joseph Rohr. Lucinda married Addison S. Massie, m. 11-17-1856. Sophia Emily, I do not have any marriage for her. However, I think I have found a marriage which would work, William H. Bowling married Sophie E. Campbell on 13 Nov 1850 Nelson Co VA. Did I guess right? Concerning Campbell-Patterson marriages: Of the 13 children of George and Caty Campbell, of Amherst Co VA, there were 2 of them that married a Patterson: 1. Joel married Peggy Patterson, 6-13-1799, d/o Betsey. 2. Samuel married Christine Patterson, 1-21-1793 3. Mary married Alexander Patterson, 7-12-1797 I wish there were some PATTERSON family researchers who would give us a list of kids, and descendants, for these 3 unions. Also, were these 3 Patterson folks all related? The Patterson family, were they mainly located in Rockbridge Co VA? Best regards, HELLO, WE are hoping that there is someone with a Connection To these Campbell's & Patternson's. AW Come on Cousins, These were Great Ancestors, Lets not have them Go Forgotten. My 5 G Grandfather's brother was Aaron Higginbotham and had a daughter named Margared. I have no information about her dates of birth, death, marriage. She was apparently born after her brother Aaron, whose date of birth I have is 1752. Her parents would have been Aaron (1720-1785) and Clara Graves Higginbotham (1720-1780). My records show 6 children: Samuel, Frances, Mary Ann, Aaron, Tamasin and Margaret. I hope this is helpful.
I have been following your conversations and I believe that you should state your concerns to the Training Center any way you can and tell them that the story of the Colony should be told in memory of those who suffered, offer , memorialsome kind of museum or something telling this story accurately.
