The only information we have is the house is still standing. It belonged to John A Chappell, who served in Co A, 14th Virginia Infantry, CSA. I have some pictures of the grave and home, that were sent to me by the new family who bought the old place. They want to put a small Chappell museum there. There are not Chappell family, but they did have members of family who also served in the Virginia Infrantry. Does this fit in with any of your research?
