Posted on: Amelia County Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Va/Amelia/10707 Surname: POLLARD, BUTLER, MORRIS ------------------------- In Court Order Book I Amelia Co VA 1735-1746 Abstracted & Compiled by Gibson Jefferson McConnaughey it states that from Amelia Co: Raleigh Parish was established in 1735---Nottoway Parish was separated from Raleigh Parish and established in about 1752 and then Nottoway Co was established in 1789. I assume that it contained what was once Nottoway Parish. This book also states that St. Patricks Parish was created and made to correspond to the bounds of Prince Edward County in 1755 (Prince Edw Co was formed in 1754.)
