He was born in 1797 in VA, no county information available. He moved to NC in the early 1800's. Married Susannah Overby who I believe was the daughter of Joab Overby and Rebeccah Owen. There are several Dunavent/Dunnavant/Dunnavents listed in Amelia Co. but I have not been able to connect.
