(James is Johns Brother and lived on the east side of Little Nottoway River from Samuel Jordan above and just west of the Long Branch below.) Amelia County deed book 5 page 277 Peter Wynne to William Hamlin jan 23 1755 275a near Seller Creek (comes down towards this area from the north (witnesses james Anderson and Patrick McQuaid) Incidently James Anderson went to Savannah Georgia in 1757 and to Augusta Georgia in 1767. Amelia County Deed book 9 page 192 Feb 24, 1767 John McQuie of Mecklenburg County sells to Charles Sallard 400a on Long Branch which was then immediately sold to Isham Vaughan whose two sons David and Daniel Vaughan married the daughters Catherine and Susan of John Anderson who lived on the opposite side of Long Branch. This pretty much assures that John McQuie of Mecklenburg and Patrick McQuade of Dinwiddie were fom the same family. Or by extraordinary coincidence lived adjacent each other.
