STILL seeking info on the family of Chasteen Hood, or Justinian Hood, born abt 1800 in Va. Seems to have connections to Hallie Pleasant Hood, orphan of Patsy Hood, of Amelia County. Hallie chose a guardian in 1816, the year she married Woodley Talley. They, and Chasteen, moved to Crittenden/Caldwell Counties in KY. Other witnesses were Peter Farley and Joseph Noble. Executors were Benjamin's wife Hannah and William Ellington. My direct line settled in the Charlotte/Prince Edward area from the late 1770's to the late 1800's. A number of other Hines family members moved to Ky. and Tn. James was married in Prince Edward, however, Prince Edward was formed from Amelia. We believe James was the brother of Caleb d.1786 in Charlotte County and Henry d. 1810 in Charlotte County. Their children are Cora Alice, who married Columbus Anderson, Susan A, who married John Smith, Estella Mae who married John William "Will" Sehen, James Virgie, who married Minnie Nunn, Samuel, who married Lou Ellen Epperson, and Lula Lee, who married George Goings. I know that these children went into Amelia Co. Va. at sometime. I have heard Courthouse. The one that I don't have anything on is Lula Lee and George. I have some information on the other children.
