To Karen in CA My name is Stella Woolfolk Williamson. I live in Baton Rouge. I am researching Richard Woolfolk b abt 1658, some say in Yorkshire, England. He had a son, Richard b. 1694, who married Agatha Bullard. Richard and Agatha had a son Richard b. 1719, who, I think married Mary Sowell, but I don't have any proof whatsoever. Pure speculation. Anyway, Richard b. 1719, had a son, Sowyel b. 1744, d. 1830, who married Mary Netherland Harris. Sowyel had a brother Joseph, who is said to be my immediate ancestor. I am still looking high and low for some kind of documentary proof. Sowyel's wife is possibly in your line. I own a book entitled The Barrow Family of Old Louisiana by William Barrow Floyd, who included an excerpt from a book by William F. Davis entitled The Genealogy of the Male Line of the Ancestors of Sowyel Woolfolk. If you would like to have the excerpt, which gives the children of Sowyel and Mary, please let me know.
