Dear Fellow Researchers, Does anyone know anything about an Alexander H. BOWLES m/Kathryn Goode. He was listed as living in Henry County in the 1830 Census. It is a pretty good supposition (by genealogy librarian) that he is the father of Jabel Bowles (b. 1821 in Henry County) as he was the only Bowles there when Jabel was born. Jabel married Anne Prillaman (b. 11/20/1837). She first married a Bondurant and was the daughter of Daniel Prillaman (1791-1844) and Elizabeth "Betsy" Stanley (1813-1883). "Betsy" was the daughter of John Stanley and Mary Clayton. I know where the Stanley family lived in Henry County - just can't find any information on them. I need to somehow connect Alexander H. Bowles with a Bowles line from someother location as he was apparently the first (?) in Henry County. Jabel and Anne were the parents of my grandfather, Benjamin Alexander Bowles (1877-1964), who married Della Trent (daughter of William Hicks Trent and Emma Stanley. Emma was the daughter of Swinfield Stanley and Lucinda (?). Any help on any of these people would be greatly appreciated.
