Hi Rooters, I am searching for the BAYS family in Albemarle County. I have two brothers, Peter and William Bays, who were young children when their father Peter died in Henrico/Goochland County in 1729/30. They both appear in the Albemarle Court records in the 1740s and Peter may have married in Albemarle because he had a wife Sarah when he returned to Goochland County in 1744 to sell the land his father had left to him. Peter then purchased land in 1749 in Albemarle County and may have lived there until he sold the land in 1759. I am looking for any information about this family, especially a maiden name for Sarah and the names of the children, some of whom MAY have remained in the area. Thank you!
