A couple of weeks ago messages were circulating through the list about a Davis family in Albemarle. I was wondering if they were a connection to some Davis' Ive found in my research. I have a JOHN STAIGE DAVIS professor of Law at UVA and his sister CATHERINE DAVIS who married one of my ancestors JOHN WILLIAM CLARK WATSON. John Watson studied law under John Davis and thats how he met Catherine. John and Catherine moved to Marshall Co. Miss. Im trying to trace this Davis family. If this connects to the Davis' mentioned before please advise.
