I am new to research in VA having done most of mine in SC and FL so far. My 5th great grandfather was Giles Letcher, born in Ireland abt 1710 and believed to have come to America in the 1730s where he married Hannah Hughes. I have a Land Patent for him that I found at the Library of VA, it gives the location for it as being South of the Rivanna River on both sides of Raccoon Creek adjoining the land of John Webb and Benjamin Naltosc (sp). Can any one give the location of a map that would show this area? I would also appreciate any info any one may have on the Letcher family. Thank You, Bob Campbell Birmingham, AL
