Hello all, The main thing to worry about in Virginia right now as far as genealogy research is concerned is the Library of Virginia. Recently the suffered a 39 percent budget cut which really hit the library hard. They are the main source of major genealogy research in Virginia. They eevn had to stop publishing a 50 year long magazine called "Virginia Cavalcade." Also unless people are kind enough to donate materials they cannot afford to get new ones. Here is their website URL: http://www.lva.lib.va.us/ And here is the page on the site where it tells you what ways you can help support the library if you want to: http://www.lva.lib.va.us/whoweare/support/index.htm The library has tons of old records on microfilms, manuscripts, books, etc. A great place to visit if you are doing genealogy in Virginia. God bless, Beth familytr@att.net
