    3. Greetings to all; Does anyone know name of a wife and/or any children for a Crispin/Crispan Hunt who apparently lived in Albemarle County at least c1760-1775? I've heard a rumor his wife's name was Mary. A man of that name was in debt and being chased by the Sheriff of Albemarle at various times. There's nothing to indicate he was "caught". In 1768 Crispin Hunt of Albemarle made a deed to a George Perry Jr. (not researched yet). There was some implied but vague connection to people named Bond (of Amherst Co.?) 'Crispin Hunt' shows up in Bedford County records 1781 when he bought 404 acres from Thomas Daugherty on Goose Creek. In 1783 Crispan(sic) Hunt & wife (not named) sold 100 acres Goose Creek to Richard Melton; sold 200 acres Goose Creek to John Howell 1784. Crispin Hunt, Memican Hunt, are on Bedford Pers. Prop. Tax Lists in Bedford in 1782. Both of these names basically disappear from records there after a few years. Would appreciate any information and any new clues from Albemarle. Regards, Bill Hunt
