I have too many conflicting names for wives of Richmond T. Walton of Albemarle and Bath Counties, VA. (The question may be confused by similar names for his father Richmond and his son Richmond T.) Can anyone clear this up? At this point, I need document proof (or proof deduced from documents) rather than just listings in gedcoms. Info from various researchers: Richmond Terrill Walton (born 1784-85, according to 1850 & 1860 census and 1855 marriage). m. 1 Sarah Alexander 1807 [or 1801] Albemarle Co., VA m. 2 Ann Armstrong 1809 Albemarle Co., VA m. 3 Nancy Armstrong 1834 Bath Co. m. 4 Catherine Tyree 1855 Bath Co. Note: Some researchers call #2 Ann Anderson and some call #3 Nancy Anderson. Here are the sources I have found: Metheny's Bath Co. Marriage Bonds & Minister's Returns, pg 80: Richmond T. Walton and Nancy Armstrong July 1834. Cochran's Snapshot Before the War, pg 144: Richmond T. Walton (77 yrs) and Catherine A. Tyree (44 yrs) married Feb. 1855. Lynne Hundley
