Hello Pat and thank you for your letter, although I do not have a Frances Childress in my files with it being so close to Albemarle county I would not entirely write it off, mine stayed right there in Albemarle county for the most part but some of the Childress descendants did migrate away especially to Texas { Default Signature #1 } Since my stroke of October 1998. I do not send long chatty letters, and sometimes I will be slow to answer as I only have my right hand to type with. From now on I am going to attempt to type normally instead of all capitals, of course sometimes I will be in a hurry or just plain lazy! So, then it will be all capitals. Thanks for understanding! :-) Good places to visit!! & MY way of sharing!! #1 http://www.mudcreek.ca/ #2 http://www.ancientfaces.com/cgi-bin/index.cfm regards SANDRA TYLER DUNCAN in Sacramento,CA GOOD SEARCH ENGINE & MY HOME PAGE http://www.progenealogists.com/genealogysleuthb.htm #2 search http://www.vitalsearch-ca.com/gen/ca/whatsnew.htm My page http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Acropolis/3577/ http://www.angelfire.com/ca7/purplevw1 My WILMOTH Index http://www.rootsweb.com/~wvrandol/wilmoth.htm http://www.founddogtags.com/ http://www.gencircles.com/ http://www.gencircles.com/users/purplevw1/1/ www.criis.com ----- Original Message ----- From: Pat2813@aol.com To: purplevw@sl.net Sent: Tuesday, February 12, 2002 10:34 AM Subject: Childress research I saw your inquiry on RootsWeb. My direct ancestor James Kidd married a Frances Childress in 1819 in Know County, TN. They were both from Amherst County, VA, near Albermarle County. In 1850 they were in Warren County, TN, then 1860 in Coffee County, TN. I am just starting this research. Think there is a connection? Pat
