Dear list Members, I just subscribed to this list after discovering one of my ancestors lived and died in this county testate. His Will was recorded in 1799. His name was Henry Shelton and I descend from his daughter Sarah Shelton who married Thomas White. I know there is a lot of conflicting information about the Shelton Families of old VA, so I'm trying to cautiously document each generation, relationship, and event so I can submit this correct info on my SAR application. Any help or guidance in locating original records, old cemeteries, and old homesteads would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Robert C.
