    1. [VAALBEMA] VA census - 1890
    2. Hi gang, Does anyone have an indexed 1890 census for VA and could do a look up for me? The historical society's census CD for 1890 doesn't include VA and Ancestry.com doesn't include VA either. Did the VA 1890 records get lost or something? If someone has the census available, I'm looking for Allan B. Magruder and family in Frederick County...probably Stephens City but Opequon or Winchester other possibilities. May be listed under A. B, Magruder. Wife is Sarah. Thanks Sue W For Information on Maplewood Cemetery, Charlottesville Va visit Of Grave Concern at http://members.aol.com/SueW601/concern.html

    3. The 1890 census burned, so there were only fragments left. I think ancestry was doing an *1890 substitute* project -- using land taxes etc. whatever was available. You should be able to find that on their web site.
