While we are on the BROWNs of Albemarle Co, perhaps someone can help me - I am seeking information on William T Brown who married Lucy A Ashlin in Albemarle Co VA in 1852. Lucy's sister Sarah Ashlin married Elijah HUGH on the same day in Albemarle. I am trying to confirm that these women, listed in the Albemarle marriage records as daughters of "Frances Ashlin, widow" are the daughters of Hartwell Ashlin, who probably died before 1850. If they are the daughters of Hartwell and Frances, their siblings included: Susan Frances, John, Eliza, Chesley and Virginia Ashlin.
