Hi Thank you to everyone who has responded to my inquiries about the Browns and Sandridges. Most helpful and meaningful. So, I thought I would post what I am most interested in: Nancy Sandridge (b. Feb 4, 1759) of Albemarle Co VA married John Thurman on Dec 10, 1799 while John was home between his service in the Rev WAr. They were married in Albemarle Co VA and Nancy states in a widow's pension application that she was attended by Isabel Beavers on her wedding day. I have not been able to identify who this Isabel Beavers was - any ideas? John Thurman and Nancy stayed in Albemarle Co Va for 18+ years and then moved to Sevier/Blount Co TN. The last date known that Nancy was living was in 1851 - she lived along time. According to the pension application, John and Nancy had alot of children - but only three are listed and gave affidavits to help Nancy out: Sarah Thurman, b. in 1781 at the time of the Siege of Yorktown - Sarah was their oldest child. Lucy Thurman Tunas b. May 31, 1783 was living Sevier Co Tn in 1847 Martha Thurman James b. July 6, 1796 and was living in Sever Co TN in 1845. If anyone recognizes any of these people or has any information on the family of Nancy Sandridge, I would appreciate knowing. I am also very interested in learning where the Sandridge homestead was. I would be happy to mail copies of Nancy's pension application to anyone researching this line. Thanks again Deborah
