    1. [VAALBEMA] Mark Lively's wife - who was she
    2. Steve and Peter: you both wrote: I've seen the wife of Mark Lively listed as Mary McGehee also! Though I don't think there is any definitive proof for that surname either. &&& According to information I have read, William Lively, s/o Mark Lively, was born circa 1731 in Albemarle County, VA. I don't have any spouses or offspring listed for William. I have seen William Lively's place of death listed as both Albemarle County, VA & Rutherford County, NC. As for William's mother, & Mark's wife, I have seen her listed as Mary Hill, Mary ??? & now Mary Tiller. What documentation do you have showing her to be Mary Tiller? ALyce got this out of an old resarch item she had taken from IGI but this is indeed interesting as to the McGhee and TIller possiblities. Perhaps she is a dtr of Wm TIller of Amherst Co(One of the WIlliam Tillers in Amherst Co married a Sarah McGhee) so maybe there is another strange connection there somewhere? My Tiller family is totally confusing as there are so many WIlliams( or so it seems). THus I have been forced to pursue the females to see if i can come up with some additional information to go one suchs as WIlls and deeds, mentioning any TIller men?? any more clues out there are VERY WELCOME indeed.. regards Alyce

    2. Hi listers: I am looking for information on Frederick Thrasher who married Ann Tiller in 1762 possibly in Frederick Co, Va. They are known to be in Frederick Co shortly after this time frame. 1. [VAALBEMA] Tabitha Hunt m. Thomas Tiller before 1787, prob Amherst Co, Va
    2. Tabitha Hunt married Thomas Tiller prior to the birth of James White Tiller 1 May 1787. Does anyone knoe who the parents of Tabitha Hunt were?? Thomas Tiller removed to Warren Co, Ky and resided near Naked Fork as he died Oct 8, 1854 at pleasant Hope, Polk Co, Missouri. There was a Hunt family living in Amherst county near the line wherin land once in Amherst eventually fell into Nelson Co adjacent to the lands of Chs. Christian, Chs. Weldy, John Lane, John Pryor and others. There are a few other Hunt family collaberations by marriage scattered amongst my family tree and I am wondering what you all might know about Tabitha. Thanks in advance.. Alyce Hart

    1. [VAALBEMA] Daniel Tiller m. Agnes Matthews 1793 in Louisa
    2. Hi listers: I am seraching for both children of Daniel Tiller who married Agnes Matthews whom I erroneosly referred to as as Agnes Williams in my previous posting. See note below from Louisa Marriages graciously provided to me by a considerate lister! Thanks BTW. 24 December 1793. Daniel Tiller and Agnes MATTHEWS, 21 years old and upward. sur. Samuel Harris. wit. Solomon Edwards. Married 25 December by Rev. Martin Walton. I would still like to know who her parents were and the parents of Daniel Tiller. In addition to that what would her relationship be to Samuel Harris and possibly Solomon Edwards?? I believe Daniel Tiller was from Caroline Co. as he is on the tax lists. His property bordered what became Spotsylvania Co. Caroline and Spotsylvania counties were both formed from Essex, King and Queen and King WIlliam. (Spotsylvania in 1720 and Caroline in 1727) The reason I am looking is to discover if this Daniel is a sibling to my George Tiller of if he might be a nephew of my George Tiller(b 1785) and known to be "of Spotsylvania Co, Va" by 1810. This George Tiller married Susannah Layne of Amherst(although in 1810 her father's land had by then fallen into Nelson Co) there marriage was recorded in Goochland Co at St. James Northam Parish. This Daniel Tiller may have been related to the George Tyler of Caroline Co who had a wife named Terrell(terrill). It would be useful to me to know who the kids of this relationship might have been and whom they married to compare kinship lines. I have a lot of info to share on vcarious Tiller families of this era and area and will happily compare and share. regards ALyce Hart

Here's the info: Marriages of Albemarle County and Charlottesville, Virginia 1781-1929 by William L.
