Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Frances Anne Bowles

    1. Re: [VAALBEMA-L] Archelaus Mitchell, Sr b abt 1760
    2. Don, I have seen a son named Patteson/Patterson on the LDS Family Search site. This is definitely one of the Mitchells in my line, but not the Archelaus my husband descends from directly. There are many children named Archelaus. Maybe I can help you with your research. Let me know what you are looking for specifically. Kim

    3. Mike - Sorry it has taken me so long to get back on this; you and I are connected, in a way, but I didn't realize it at first! James H. SHEPHERD's daughter Anne Elizabeth SHEPHERD was (1) the sister of your Richard Wingfield SHEPHERD, and also (2) the second wife of my great-great grandfather, John Powhatan MANN. I am also descended from John Moore WINGFIELD's two brothers, Robert and Matthew, whose children (first cousins) married. Egad! I'm not sure exactly how you and I are related; if I had this in my computer, I'd use the program to figure it out!! Anyway, I do have some notes on those Wingfields and Shepherds; not in the computer! I don't think I have James H. SHEPHERD's parents. Can you contact me directly and let me know what you have & don't have? I'm posting this to the list in case it alerts anyone else who might be interested/connected. 1. Re: [VAALBEMA-L] Shepherd Of Albemarle
    2. Mike - You stated you didn't know the birth place of James H. Shepherd b 1781? I don't know if this will help but I have William Shepherd b. 1798 m. Isabella Woodward 06 Sept 1827 in Waltham, Middlesex Co., VA, issue: Richard Henry Shepherd b ca 1830. Only reason I bring this to your attention is because the Woodward family had lots of ties to the Albemarle area during that time period. Patti

    3. Earl, and other listmates: I have a decent copy of the Sarah Netherland will, scanned; anyone who would like it may contact me directly. The file is 451 KB unzipped; if you'd like it zipped, I can do that. Earl: We also share the Harris line; I come in there and down through William and Mary's daughter Elizabeth HARRIS who married John DIGGS/DIGGES, then through their daughter Lucy DIGGES who married Dabney CARR, etc. Do you think we might have more info to share?
