Lonny: One of my HAWKINS was over in Shennadoah Co, Va and picked up a HAMNER and his son married into the HAMNER clan. John F. HAWKINS and Jr. Don Hill
Lonny, I don't know if you have this, but there is a Lewis Anderson in the 1840 Nelson Co. Census. He is between 50 & 60 years of age. Has one son under 5, 1 son 5 to 10 and two sons between 15 & 20. Two daughters between 10 & 15 and his wife is between 40 & 50. Other Andersons listed who are about the same age were: Robert H. Anderson, John Anderson. My Thomas Jefferson Anderson was in his mid 30s at the time. He is also on the 1850 Nelson Census as being 60 years old; wife Sophia 52, sons James 14 & Benjamin 12. Lewis was also listed in the 1830 census along with John, Nathan C, Robert H. and Nelson Anderson. Also, on Dec. 17, 1853, my TJAnderson sold property to Lewis Anderson for 295.00. The tract was between Albemarle and Nelson Cos.; 60 acres more or less . Lewis married Sophia Pettett Nov. 1, 1819 in Albemarle Co. so no connection to the Brown family there I have no idea if Lewis connects with your Brown family or my own Anderson line. But I hope this helps a bit. Debra .----- Original Message ----- From: Lonny J. I am in the process of setting up a new site, and would like to invite you to visit it and let me know if you see any problems with it. Kind of a Sneak Preview. I have not announced the site yet, but plan to soon. While you are there, be sure to add your Genealogy related society's listing as well as any books or materials they or you have for sale. There is also a place to put a query if you are looking for a particular book or genealogy material. There are links to sites I have found helpful in researching on the internet. I would like to invite all of you to add sites that have been particularly useful in your research so others can benefit from your experience. Also, if you have a site, add it, too. That way, you will be there when I announce the site. My purpose is to create an interactive site where users can obtain information and share their information and experience. The URL is: http://www.geneasearch.com/ Thanks in advance, Donna Trewitt [email protected]

I don't know but it could be the same Lewis ANDERSON. All that I know about Lewis ANDERSON is that he must have known my Anderson BROWN family well, as he was a witness to my Anderson BROWN's will. Did your Lewis ANDERSON live in Albemarle Co. in 1859? Please, send me the information that you have on Lewis ANDERSON and his ancestry. I just know my Anderson BROWN must be related to the ANDERSON's of Albemarle in some way. Fitzgerald, Powell, Drumheller,
I think the ANDERSON family may be interconnected to my BROWN's of North Garden, Albemarle Co., VA. My great great grandfather was named Anderson BROWN (1785-1859). He married a Susanna WOODSON June 03, 1808, Albemarle Co., VA. Two of his grandchildren had OVERTON in their names. OVERTON seems to be a surname in the ANDERSON line. A Lewis ANDERSON was a witness for the Will of Anderson BROWN in 1859. I am wondering how Lewis ANDERSON is related to my BROWN line. Does anyone have any BROWN-ANDERSON connections in their ANDERSON data? I don't know the maiden name of Anderson BROWN's mother, Mary. Could it be ANDERSON? Does anyone have a Andrew BROWN m. c. 1770-1780 a Mary ANDERSON? Thanks, Lonny
