However, they don't make copies from the will books. Alternativley, the original will MAY be [and probably is] on file at the North Carolina State Archives in Raleigh NC. I'd recommend you try to get the original if you are still interested in it, though it seems this John Jones grandfather of Sarah Griffin is not your John Jones. Also request an estate file for John Jones if you want to pursue this line. Wills and estate files are archived seperately, so this will be two requests. I was there a few weeks ago and I overheard one of the librarians tell someone on the phone that the backlog for copying orders is about six weeks.
